Craft Room

The craft room at Tall Oaks Retreat is a crafter’s dream. With over 600 square feet of space you will have room to spread out and enjoy your time creating. This room is on our lower level with French doors leading onto our patio. You can back your vehicles up and unload right into the craft room. No need to carry your craft things up or down stairs. There is plenty of light for your detail work and lots of outlets for tools. Each 5 foot table has an adjustable office chair, Side-Kick drink holder and garbage can. A new computer is loaded with fonts, PhotoShop Elements and Microsoft Office. There is a printer also available for your journaling. Have any digital scrapbooking friends? They will be right at home with our wireless high speed internet access.

 While having fun, you can watch a DVD on the large screen plasma TV. If you would rather have music to listen to, our built in surround speakers and stereo system is there for your enjoyment. You can even hook up your computer to the plasma TV for Power Point presentations. There is a refrigerator in the craft room to hold all of your refreshments and wet bar area to set up your snacks as well.

 Tall Oaks Retreat was designed with a four zone heating system to ensure your greatest comfort. Separate thermostats for the craft room, great room, and both bedroom areas allow for the most even temperature control. Our fresh air exchange system also ensures a constant supply of fresh air and controlled humidity. Of course, we also have central air for when the temperature rises in the summer. In addition, for everyone’s comfort we are a smoke-free, pet-free establishment.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Tall Oaks Retreat has five bedrooms available, three on the main level and two on the lower level. The Oak room can sleep four and has an attached bath with a tub/shower and double sinks. The Maple and Hickory rooms each sleep three and share a bathroom with shower. The lower level Birch and Walnut rooms also sleep three each and share a bath with a tub/shower and double sinks. A powder room off the craft room makes a total of three full baths and one half bath. All rooms have new Verlo mattresses, comfortable bedding, pillows and alarm clocks. The baths are supplied with plush towels and hair dryers. Just bring your personal items and you are all set!

  

 Great Room

Tall Oaks Retreat has thought of everything. Our beautiful kitchen is fully stocked with the equipment you need to make your meals. Place settings for sixteen, plenty of glasses, all the pots and pans you need, two crock-pots, coffee makers, griddle, waffle iron, and much more. Your group will be able to enjoy wonderful meals together and have a great area to set up buffet style. Tall Oaks Retreat also will provide you with waffle and pancake mixes for breakfast! Clean up is a snap too, just load up our dishwasher. If you prefer, there are many restaurants close by or call for delivery! There is information on the local dining options at the retreat. You can eat your meals at the two dining tables or out on our deck and possibly spot a deer or two. The corner fireplace and large screen plasma TV with cable and DVD give you many options for entertainment and relaxation. Take some time to recharge with a book or one of our movies or just chat with friends and catch up with each other. There is a phone at the retreat but you will need to bring along your calling card to make long distance calls. Cell phone reception is very poor as well. Upon making your reservation you will be given the phone number at the retreat to be used if someone needs to reach you.

  

 Large or Small Groups

We can accommodate a variety of group sizes. Large groups can reserve all of the rooms and have the retreat  to themselves. Smaller groups are also welcome. Reserve the number of rooms you need. You may be sharing the retreat with another small group or you may have the place to yourself. Have fun meeting new people with similar interests.
